Tomb of the unknown yuppie
These are photos of a lifesize statue of a LIFFE trader (LIFFE was the London Futures and finance exchange in the City of London and was staffed by a lot of loud, arrogant and nauseating little jerks win loud coloured jackets), They all got the push when LIFFE computerised in the mid 90s and the trading pits (or bear pits) were closed. All that remains of them is this statue which I daresay many have walked straight into! If yu are ever in London it is near Cannon Street railway station
This beggar IS a chooser :)

Brrrr...!
Vasaparken, Västerås, Sweden. A perfectly beautiful day - but jeeeeez, it's cold!
Västerås City Hall to the right.
"Three men in a boat"? :) No, this is actually actually Sture Collin's "Dårarnas båt" (Ship of Fools). They boldly navigate a small pond in Vasaparken. Or - I guess they could have been, if it wasn't for that darn stone they managed to hit ;)
Copies of "Dårarnas båt" can be found in two more places in Sweden - the underground station at Sockenplan (Stockholm) and at Hornsgatspuckeln (also in Stockholm).

Since I am cat-less at the moment, my first post will have to be of another subject. This was taken at the release party for Swedish band Adolphson & Falk's new album in October last year, in anticipation of the evening's gig.
Yet to be named...!
Hey guys! We need a name, start up your engines (um... OK, "brains") and come up with something.
"From another point of view" was my first off-the-top-of-my-head-suggestion, but it's not really funny enough. It's almost pretentious *yuk*

Day three of The New Västerås Zoo
In lack of possible gardenbragging (it's still hidden under layers and layers of snow) - may I present my African Lily. She lives (at least for a few days more :-/...) on my kitchen table. Lovely.
"Oh, picture's being taken, right? Wait, let me strike a pose..." (OK, so Izzy IS a little narcissist, but that's alright with me)
Fjant is doing his best to conquer his new apartment. He's doing... well, it could be better, but at least improving. Finally I had to feed him close to his beloved safe nest under the couch.

Tristan
Hi both of you,
I can start off with a picture of our alpha cat Tristan in one of the rare moments when he is washing himself. Mr T, as he was called at the time, was born in New York and we picked him up at the pound in Spanish Harlem after his previous owners gave him up. He came with us to Houston and he is a grouchy, but very lovable large cat.

What the...?
Västerås - Cats
Most recent additon to the zoo (we call ourselves "Ten legs, two tails and one redhead" ;)) - this is Fjant. He moved in two days ago. Originally he lived with my friend Fredrike, she sadly died in December, hence Fjant will stay with me for a while. He is lovely, although still stubbornly residing under my couch, due to one mad black panther of sorts...
My beautiful black panther Izzy. I guess I ought to take her to the vet, she is still fertile (on the pill) and it's said that fertile females despise neutered males (yup - Fjant is neutered).
