Beware of the......??????

Over here the sign only has one bump but a helpful warning which an american ex of mine found very funny for some reason. I realy don't understand why...........

Beware of... well.

I know that we need to be careful with the sexualization of the public space, but in Vienna they seem to be taking it a bit too far...

Beware of... Women?

Speaking of road signs...

I found this one in a small village outside Uppsala in May 2005.
Beware of cows? Then, why do I look SHEEPISH?

Beware of frogs

In the southern part of Sweden, Skåne for example, you'll find the most remarkable road signs. This is just one example from Falsterbo were the Frogs live.

It doesn't get better than this for Ted

One extremely contented cat. And one day we will get our finger out and put down new flooring (Only 12 months since we ripped out the carpet... hiho)

True Romance

Limo, flickering candles, some dancing cheek-to-cheek...

Nah, not really, but least they are able to stay in each other's company for as long as it takes to gulp down a small Whiskas-supé. There's nothing like a bad case of gluttony to unite peop... eh, cats.

Tomb of the unknown yuppie

These are photos of a lifesize statue of a LIFFE trader (LIFFE was the London Futures and finance exchange in the City of London and was staffed by a lot of loud, arrogant and nauseating little jerks win loud coloured jackets), They all got the push when LIFFE computerised in the mid 90s and the trading pits (or bear pits) were closed. All that remains of them is this statue which I daresay many have walked straight into! If yu are ever in London it is near Cannon Street railway station

Sunday imagination

A walk at the beach in Bjärred on a cold but sunny sunday afternoon calls upon your imagination.

This beggar IS a chooser :)

The Old Man (12 years old this year) is slowly adjusting to living with us. He is SO lovely, but perhaps a bit spoilt. Any puppy could take lessons from this guy when it comes to looking veeeery sad and hungry as soon as I eat something.

Vasaparken, Västerås, Sweden. A perfectly beautiful day - but jeeeeez, it's cold!

Västerås City Hall to the right.

"Three men in a boat"? :) No, this is actually actually Sture Collin's "Dårarnas båt" (Ship of Fools). They boldly navigate a small pond in Vasaparken. Or - I guess they could have been, if it wasn't for that darn stone they managed to hit ;)
Copies of "Dårarnas båt" can be found in two more places in Sweden - the underground station at Sockenplan (Stockholm) and at Hornsgatspuckeln (also in Stockholm).

This is Mimi our youngest cat. Although she has Cerebellar Hypoplasia which means she can't jump and she walks with all the grace of a drunken sailor, she is a happy and contented little kitty.

Ted is our younger male. He has pretensions of becoming the Alpha cat but Robyn is not set to relinquish his crown any time soon!

Since I am cat-less at the moment, my first post will have to be of another subject. This was taken at the release party for Swedish band Adolphson & Falk's new album in October last year, in anticipation of the evening's gig.

Yet to be named...!

Hey guys! We need a name, start up your engines (um... OK, "brains") and come up with something.

"From another point of view" was my first off-the-top-of-my-head-suggestion, but it's not really funny enough. It's almost pretentious *yuk*

Holly Berries

Berries on the lopsided Holly bushthat lives towards the end of our garden. It is great to see that it's still covered in them

"Hey, Old Man! You eat my food, smooch up my Human and steal my best hide outs - but this, THIS is NASTY. That's MY window, you've got some balls to... naaaaw, wait a minute, you don't, do you? You HAVE no balls ...miaaaaaahahahahaooooo"
(OK, so she IS a bitch)

Cool accessory, I guess

"Yeah, so all your clothes will have loads of black hair sprinkled all over them. Please, tell me again why this is supposed to be a problem?"

Beauty and the Beastie

Beauty - Bebe...

...and the beastie

Day three of The New Västerås Zoo

In lack of possible gardenbragging (it's still hidden under layers and layers of snow) - may I present my African Lily. She lives (at least for a few days more :-/...) on my kitchen table. Lovely.

"Oh, picture's being taken, right? Wait, let me strike a pose..." (OK, so Izzy IS a little narcissist, but that's alright with me)

Fjant is doing his best to conquer his new apartment. He's doing... well, it could be better, but at least improving. Finally I had to feed him close to his beloved safe nest under the couch.

Hi both of you,
I can start off with a picture of our alpha cat Tristan in one of the rare moments when he is washing himself. Mr T, as he was called at the time, was born in New York and we picked him up at the pound in Spanish Harlem after his previous owners gave him up. He came with us to Houston and he is a grouchy, but very lovable large cat.

Hi Siv, I thought I would kick off with a photo of Robyn, our alpha cat. I took this on Saturday as he looked up at me howling his head off for no good reason!

What the...?

A few days ago: 7C, green lawns, sunshine, no rain... lovely.

Then BAM, swoooosh, pow pow pow. Winter got back, with a vengeance.

The bikes outside my apartment building are cold, oh so cold. Poor sods.

Västerås - Cats

Most recent additon to the zoo (we call ourselves "Ten legs, two tails and one redhead" ;)) - this is Fjant. He moved in two days ago. Originally he lived with my friend Fredrike, she sadly died in December, hence Fjant will stay with me for a while. He is lovely, although still stubbornly residing under my couch, due to one mad black panther of sorts...

My beautiful black panther Izzy. I guess I ought to take her to the vet, she is still fertile (on the pill) and it's said that fertile females despise neutered males (yup - Fjant is neutered).
